James White’s blog links to this article :  Gallery’s invitation to deface the Bible brings obscene response  Where an “art” exhibit  invites the general public to “write themselves into the Bible” if the feel that the have been “excluded”.  The exhibit has produced a typical response from those who hate God’s Word.

The “artists” who represent “gay” Christian and Muslim organizations (Dr. White brings up the question of why just a Bible and not also a Koran?  The answer is of course it is easier and safer to attack Christianity.) say:

Any offensive things that have been written are not the point of the work,” he said. “It was an open gesture. Are those who say they are upset offended by the things that people write, or just by the very notion that someone should write on a Bible?

Now should we be offend at this treatment of God’s holy word?  You bet.  But should we be surprised?  No not really.

See when we were unregenerate by the Holy Spirit we were known as “children of wrath” (Eph. 2:3).  We knew the truth about God but we denied it (Rom. 1:18-21).   We were enemies of God (Rom. 5:6-10) when confronted by the truth of God’s holiness we would have reacted the same way, maybe not in the same severity but our hearts would have still rejected the truth when confronted by it.

If you love God’s word, if you read the law of God and see in it God’s holiness, and are humbled by your sin.  And then rejoice because of God’s mercy to you by sending Christ to die for your sins.  Then pray that God will also open the hearts of these “children of wrath” so that they too can flee the wrath to come.(1 Thess. 1:10)

The error of seeker sensitive churches

Posted by Peculiar Baptist on July 22, 2009

Notice the errors listed.  First that the worship service is for something other than worshipping God.  Second that natural men seek after God.

Michael Jackson is still dead.  Jesus Christ lives.

Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.  (Hebrews 7:25 ESV)

Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you–unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,
(1 Corinthians 15:1-3 ESV)
